Sharing bikes or e-scooters
The cycling infrastructure in Prague and its outskirts has significantly improved over the past decade. There are many cycling paths and tracks which will help you to discover the beauty of the city from a bike seat or on a e-scooter.
One of the most convenient bike sharing system is "Rekola". It operates through an application and costs 24 CZK (less than 1 EUR) per ride.
"Lime" is a little revolution in e-scooters sharing which will help you with mobility in the city. It operates through application and the rate is $1/unlock + $0.15/min to ride. Redeem this code "RQ4PRUG" to get 3x10 CZK (approx. three times $0.50) credit.
Orientation in streets
Understanding of street numbering may help you to find your accommodation or preferred restaurant.
Address consists of the street of square name and two numbers. For example: Kollarova 271/5.
The key for orientation is the blue number, in this example it is "5".
When you finally find the right street, take a look at the nearest building entrance and check the blue number.
- First rule is that one side will always have odd numbers and the other side will have even numbers.
- Second rule is that numbers are decreasing in one direction and increasing in the other one.
You can also use GPS navigation :)
